Parks West Mall

Parks West Mall is a 16-store shopping mall in Hinton, Alberta, Canada. The mall was developed in 1990, by Mandel Group. It was estimated at the time to cost $14 million, with a plan for 42 tenants in 152,300 sq ft. Initially the anchor tenants included Woolco and Safeway. Current anchors are Wal-Mart (60,346 sq ft.) and Safeway (29,586 sq ft.).
Controversies
The plan to build the mall was the subject of controversy, as some local store owners complained that the Alberta government's business immigration program would unfairly favour the mall's tenants through offshore financing. was cited in a law book, Tenant's Rights and Remedies in a Commercial Lease by Harvey M. Haber.
