Parinirvana of Mind is a kannada play written by Nanishankar Vishwanath and published in the year 2014. It is a unique and unusual play structured with eleven seens. Parinirvana of Mind particularly incorporates newer thoughts and turns out to be as a whole a see-through and watch-through thesis on contemporary complex social situations prevailing in India. The playwright has crafted skillfully few unusual and modern characters new to kannada drama. The theme revolves around the enlightenment of an young engineering doctorate Siddhartha and confrontations of his personality after enlightnenment in many social situations including love, family, friends and also political encounters. It has also another equally imporant character Suneetha representing an educated contemporary young women in search of freedom and unique life free from existing social dogmas of Indian society.
