Charity Orang Utan Comics work with the Orang Utan Foundation to help their charity by fundraising at Conventions that they attend.
Orang Utan Studios Orang Utan Comics also act as a colouring studio known as Orang Utan Studios.
"We have already developed our own colouring team Orang Utan Studios, which is now part of AAM/Markosia," says Managing Editor and creator Ian Sharman.
So far they have coloured #2 of Heretic, a Markosia title.
Further Information Name difficulties There has been much confusion surrounding the name of the publisher, with many misspelling and sometimes even misprinting it. Mistakes that have been made include "Ornag Utan Studios" amongst others. Conventions Orang Utan Comics lauched their comic book publishing company at the Bristol International Comic Expo (also known as "BICE") 2007. Although there were delays in printing that resulted in no actual copies of the debut title Eleventh Hour, the team were well received and specially home-printed preview issues sold out.
Next year's BICE has been confirmed to have OUC in attendance.
Future possibilities for Convention attendance include the London Film and Comic Con in September and "Brumcon" - the Birmingham International Comics Show in October.
Orang Utan Comics hosted the Bristol International Comic Expo 2007's official Film Night to great success. Films that were shown included the world premiere of the new Highlander anime, SEARCH FOR VENGEANCE; a rare chance to see award wining Star Wars fan film REVELATIONS on a big screen; off the wall Superman fan film LOSING LOIS LANE; and the anarachic, feature length send up of "anime music videos", AMV HELL 3. Plus an exclusive first look at upcoming blockbuster hit, VZE! They are now confirmed to be hosting next year as well.

Current Publications Currently published ongoing titles with Orang Utan Comics. Eleventh Hour
Eleventh Hour is the debut title for Orang Utan Comics. It is an anthology which showcases the company's writing and artistic talents.
Why 'Eleventh Hour'? The original idea behind Eleventh Hour was a way to get some of Rogers’ unpublished material into print. In the past few years various publishers accepted a number of his short stories for publication. Unfortunately due to books folding or artists missing deadlines they all missed out in the end. (At the Eleventh Hour you might say). His plan was to collect those stories in a self published book, but once he met Sharman they pooled resources and started to think much bigger. Orang Utan Comics now includes writers and artists from five different continents.

Forthcoming Publications Orang Utan Comics now have artists and writers confirmed for several comics which are due for release in late 2007. Young Gods
In the year 2086 humanity faces a new threat, Extra Humans. The government is struggling to cope with the growing number of mutants, aliens and supernatural beings who are living amongst us. People are beginning to panic and so, in 2050, the Department for Extra Human Affairs was established with a remit to try and contain the problem. By 2086 the D.E.H.A. the situation has escalated, so they have formed a new rapid response strike force, The Young Gods. Who better to police the Extra Human community than Extra Humans themselves?
The series is action packed, but the focus is not on the action itself, but on the characters and how they react to the situations they find themselves in. One of the overarching themes of the first six issue story arc is betrayal, and how this affects the leader of the group, Paladin.
A six page introductory story will be appearing in the pages of Eleventh Hour #1. Following that a 46-page one shot will introduce the full team and lead directly into the first six part mini-series.

The Intergalactic Adventures of Slam Ridley
If you like Star Wars and Firefly then you're sure to enjoy the adventures of Slam Ridley and his metal skinned sidekick, Dan. Set a thousand years into the future, where humanity has already used up two Earths and is well on its way to using up a third, the President of the galaxy has created a phony war in order to suspend elections and stay in office long past his alloted time. Only Slam Ridley can, reluctantly, stop him! Well, actually, that's a complete lie, but he does end up caught up in the plot somehow, honest!
Created by Ian Sharman with a killer script by Peter Rogers and eye meltingly good artwork by Paul Ridgon, this four part mini-series is bound to be the sleeper smash hit of the year (we hope!).

The competition is Pow!, the world's leading Licenced Superhero Agency, who Flame-O dreams of one day working for. Seniors A new superhero series from Peter Rogers. Shine History Originally a three issue series that was Ian Sharman's first attempt at writing comics in his younger years, this is now being re-written, restyled and reworked.
Plot The basic plot centers around a teenage girl who fights aliens, ala Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but with many more twists and Sharman's unique style of writing.
Project Raven History Cherie "Cher" Donovan has been working on this series since her early teen years, but since joining the Orang Utan Comics crew, has decided to start the whole concept from scratch.
Plot The basic plot centers around a teenage girl who finds herself caught in a deep-bedded government conspiracy, who must reveal it to the world to win her freedom. It sounds basic, but there are many twists and turns.
