The One Above All is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Eternals #7 (Jan. 1977) and was created by Jack Kirby. Publication history The character has made few appearances in the Marvel Universe: guest starring in an issue of the first volume of the series Eternals; and featuring during the "Celestial Saga" in the title Thor, issues #287 - 289 (Sep. - Nov. 1979), #291 (Jan. 1980), and #300 (Oct. 1980). Fictional character biography The One Above All is the leader of the group of space entities the Celestials. Not much is known about him; however, both X-Factor and the thunder God, Thor, have encountered this grand Celestial. In particular, he has rescued Gilgamesh the Forgotten One, after a Deviant nuclear bomb, and later dispatched him to Olympia to warn Thor and the Olympian Gods not to interfere in the visit of the Fourth Celestial Host and their judgement of Earth. The One Above All also repulses the attack of the Eternal entity the Uni-Mind, which attempts to end the perceived threat. The entity leaves with the Celestials when the Fourth Host is persuaded to depart Earth by Gaea, one of the Elder Gods. Footnotes
