1. BIOGRAPHY
Omar Mansour was born in 24/07/1973 in Alexandria and he is from the famous Bedouin tribe (Awlad Ali ).
He graduated from the faculty of Law of Alexandria in 1997.
Omar Mansour is a persistent controversary adventurous personality more than proud of his nationality and that’s why since he was a child set as target of his life to travel all around the world with his motorbike spreading the Egyptian spirit and inviting all the people around the world to visit his country, Egypt.
As a child, he was initiated at the secrets of the desert, since he was raised in a tribe; he knows how to camp and survive alone in the desert under difficult weather conditions,
proud of being a Bedouin, Omar honors the traditional Bedouin values of honesty, hospitality and generosity.
At the same time his favorite habit was reading, mostly history and travel books, declaring always that "reading is the food of the brain". The magic worlds of the books and his queries about the different civilizations around the world made him declaring with childhood artlessness and spontaneousness that" one day i will visit the entire world with my motorbike”. This internal need for travelling was reinforced by the study of the pioneer travelers, Ibn Battuta and Mohamed Idrissi that were Arabs and Omar was admiring their experiences.
He was too excited from the fact that one human being can impart his culture to different civilizations by travelling.
He started practicing with a bicycle, at 6 he rode for first time a motorbike, at 12 he aquisited his own motorbike a 50 c.c and in 2002 he made his first trip showing his persistence for the dream.

Finally the childish dream came true showing that if you really believe, you can

After completing 22730 kilometers, and after 4 days of his successful trip, on the way for an interview with Mofeed Fawzy, the careless behavior of a car driver caused a serious accident for Omar Mansour. He spend totally 12 days in the hospital of Alexandria, 125 days at home without moving covered in casts and this unfortunate fact bequeathed him a totally destroyed motorbike, both broken legs, a bad knee until today, a damaged left hand and although he is a left handed, he still has 12 metal screws and 2 metal sheets in his left arm
He wouldn’t be able anymore to continue his dream. This unfortunate moment seemed as the end of the dream. His fighter spirit and his persistence, the courage and the support of the people that were sharing his dream, media such as CNN BBC Herald Tribute, Guardian that hosted and supported his venture, and one year full of strict and painful treatments made him don’t give up his dream and prepare his next trip in 2011.
