Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls (often shortened to Oliver Boyd or abbreviated to OBatR) is a Canadian indie rock and wizard rock band from Toronto, Canada, formed in 2006. Christian Caldiera is the only member of the "band" as he sings vocals and plays all of the instruments. The music is a mix of rock and blues music with lyrics inspired from the Harry Potter novels. Since the band's formation in 2006, they have released two full-length Long Plays and two extended play releases. History Formation (2006) In 2006, the band's only member Christian Caldiera discovered the fast growing movement that was Wizard Rock. He originally thought it was an amusing idea. He said that "I remember finding out about the whole wrock scene and thinking it was pretty funny. “People are actually writing songs about Harry Potter?” I chuckled. Well, my face is surely red now." He then joined in the craze by writing music himself. Two Long Plays, Three Extended Plays, Three EPs Planned (2006 - Present) Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls have released two Long Plays, entitled Welcome to Wizard Rock (2006) and Back For The Fight (2007) and three Extended Plays entitled Open at the Close (2007), Slytherin EP (2008) and Bare Bones (2009). The band also plans to make another three Extended Plays, to correspond with the other three Hogwarts houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. The band recently released two singles free for download entitled "In Your Shadow" and "There By My Side" on their website, www.obatr.com.
