OffTopic.com, or OT (pronounced //) for short, is an Internet community built upon a message board consisting of over 150,000 members. It is based in Houston, Texas. According to Big Boards, it is among the largest message boards on the Internets and has an Alexa rank of 10,450. History OffTopic.com began as a subsection of the Honda-Acura forums, but it eventually was spun off into its own set of forums. Community OT is made up of more than 150,000 members who are moderated by one administrator, six super moderators, and 45+ regular moderators. For the most part, Offtopic threads are allowed to run rampant, but users are warned against racism and "bandwagoning" (a trend where a catchphrase or image will be posted repeatedly in many threads, bumping them to the first page and making it even more visible). |
