O. J. Murdock

Orenthal James "O. J." Murdock (February 15, 1987 - July 30, 2012) was an American football wide receiver. He played two years of college football at the University of South Carolina, and later transferred to Pearl River Community College and Fort Hays State University. He was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He spent his only NFL season, 2011, on the injured reserve list with an Achilles tendon rupture. On July 30, 2012, Murdock was found in his car outside his alma mater, George S. Middleton High School in Tampa, Florida, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he later died. He was 25 years old.
