NP7280

The Sager NP7280 ( aka Clevo x7200 ) is a Desktop Replacement 17.3" laptop powered by by Intel Core i7 desktop processors. Manufactured by Clevo and sometimes rebranded by retailers such as Sager and Eurocom, the x7200 is known for using high end desktop computer components in a laptop case including Desktop CPUs as well as dual video card configurations such as the nVIDIA GeForce GTX (Fermi) with technology or AMD Radeon 6970 Crossfire.
The NP7280 debuted in October 2010. According to the Clevo Web site the x7220 will fulfill "the performance enthusiasts who desire an incredible laptop, it stands out without competition."
System Overview
The Clevo x7200 is a laptop which can be configured and used in many different ways from LAN party to Software Developers. What sets the x7200/NP7280 apart from other laptops is the multitude of desktop computer components available for use within a laptop chasis allow Desktop like performance found in a larger laptop chassis.
A few of the system highlights include:
* Intel® Core i7 CPU (including the i7-980X and i7-990X. This differs from mobile CPUs found in traditional laptops.
* 3 to 4 HDD bays allow for a greater number of SSD or HDD devices which provides a larger amount of disk storage than a traditional laptop.
* Dual Video cards. The x7200/NP7280 can be configured with nVidia SLI or AMD Crossfire technology which allows for high end graphics not normally found in a laptop.
RAID configuration
The Clevo x7200 / NP 7280 is also available in a number of different RAID configurations. Standard configurations include RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 5. In addition, custom configurations also include removing the optical drive and replacing it with a 4th HDD for RAID 10..
