Non- monogamous opposite-sex marriage

Non- monogamous opposite-sex marriage, sometimes refereed to as non-heterosexual marriage, is a marriage that is NOT between one man and one woman. When debating same-sex marriage, these terms, or similar terms, may be preferred because laws against same-sex marriage generally define marriage as between "one man and one woman", which does not just bar same-sex marriage, but any form of marriage that is not between "one man and one woman." Examples of non- monogamous opposite-sex marriages include same-sex marriage, polygamist marriages, a monogamous relationships where one or both partners are not male or female.
