Nitin Sandesara is an Indian businessman. Life He was born in Sandesara family in western suburb of Mumbai, India. He completed his graduation and acquired Chartered accountant degree in 1985 from University of Mumbai. Career and philanthropy He started his business in the 1980s as a tea company. He later diversified into oil production & biotechnology. He is currently the chairman of Sterling International Enterprises Ltd and chairman, chief executive officer (CEO) and joint MD at Sterling Biotech Ltd. He is also the chairman of Sterling Exploration and Energy Production Company Limited. He serves on the board of 33 other companies. He graduated with a degree in chartered accountancy but his business career started with a short stint at Pluto Exports & Consultants, where he was accompanies by his younger brother Chetan Sandesara. His younger brother Chetan Sandesara is only two years younger than him and has been a steady supporter of his business ventures including Sterling Biotech. Other business ventures The duo had planned to set up the India’s first private aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at Vadodara, but the project did not take off.
