Early life
Nirav Tripathi was born into a Gujarati Brahmin family on 13 May 1979 in Kalol, Gujarat, India and later moved to Ahmedabad. He is the son of Vikrambhai Tripathi and Neelamben Tripathi and has one sibling. He studied accounting. One of the first businesses he established was a cleaning company.
Football and Philanthropy
Both he and his Diya Group announced a multi-million dollar partnership with George Weah whereby global football academies would be established to help assist youth in both impoverished and emerging nations.
The motivation for the academies is cited as a shared experience between both Tripathi and George Weah in how sport can transform lives in their nations of both India and Liberia, which both still suffer from severe poverty.. The concept was created by English-born Pakistani footballer Kashif Siddiqi and Chilean FIFA legend Elias Figueroa.
