Nippon India Mutual Fund

Nippon India Mutual Fund is an India based asset management company, that works as a subsidiary of Nippon Life Insurance Company. It was founded in 1996 as Reliance Mutual Fund with its corporate headquarters located in Mumbai, India. Nippon India Mutual Fund is a joint venture between India's Reliance Capital and Japan's Nippon Life Insurance company.
Origin
Nippon India Mutual Fund was earlier known as Reliance Mutual Fund. Nippon Life Insurance of Japan acquired 75 per cent stake in Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management from Reliance Capital. After that Reliance Mutual Fund changed its name to Nippon India Mutual Fund with effect from September 28, 2019. It has been registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India from June 30, 1995.
With its corporate office based in Mumbai, India, Nippon India Mutual Fund is located in 300 cities. Currently it has an investor base of Rs.87lakh investors. Nippon India Mutual Fund becomes the first AMU in India to launch an ETF in collaboration with the Government of India. It has subsidiaries in Singapore and Mauritius and international offices in Dubai which serves institutional investors and high net investors across Asia, Australia, UK, US, Middle East and Europe. Nippon India Mutual Fund in collaboration with BBL Asset Management company has launched Bualuang Bharata fund in Thailand.
As of March 31, 2020, the fund house served 88lakh unique investors through approximately 300 branches PAN India and has Rs.2,55,265 crore in assets under its management and Rs4810 crore as a part of its international offshore managed portfolio.

Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited appointed as the Asset Management Company of the Nippon India Mutual Fund. The AMC manages significant Assets under Management (AUM) in the Mutual Fund segment across asset classes The company services includes mutual fund investment, portfolio management, financial planning, and advisory services to individuals, institutions, trusts, and private funds. Nippon mutual funds schemes provide 52 equity, 266 debt, and 40 balanced funds.
In August 2020, the company launched Nippon India Multi-Asset Fund which is a mixture of domestic and international equities, debt and commodities. Nippon India Mutual Fund also launched Nippon India digital Innovation Alternative Investment Fund(AIF).
