Nicole Brydson is an independent content creator and interdisciplinary media inventor who founded the digital journalism project BrooklynTheBorough.com based on her weekly New York Observer column Brooklyn, The Borough. The site is run by Misfit Media, which consults on new media strategy, information design, web development, marketing and communications for creative endeavors. Brydson was born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen in the heart of Manhattan in New York City and graduated from Harvard University with concentrations in history, film, writing and political science. Prior to becoming an independent entrepreneur Brydson wrote about politics , real estate, fashion and culture for the New York Observer, BlackBook Magazine , The Brooklyn Paper among others.
