Nick Naylor is the protagonist in satirist Christopher Buckley's 1994 novel Thank You for Smoking. In the novel, Naylor works in public relations as chief spokesman and vice president of the Academy of Tobacco Studies, Washington's tobacco lobby.
Naylor also appears in three of Buckley's other novels. In 2002's No Way to Treat a First Lady, Naylor does public relations work for entertainer Babette Van Anka and her husband Max Grab. The novel takes place years after Thank You for Smoking. In another of Buckley's novels, 2004's Florence of Arabia: A Novel, Naylor is mentioned as the person that trained Rick Renard, this book's public relations specialist, in the art of spin. He is also mentioned as spin doctor Terry Tucker's mentor in Boomsday (2007).
In the 2006 movie adaptation of Thank You for Smoking, Nick Naylor is also the protagonist and is played by Aaron Eckhart.
