Nicholas Friesen is an award winning Winnipeg born and based artist. Working primarily as a fiction writer and photographer, he is also known as an actor, filmmaker and musician.
As of October 2008, he is currently shooting his eleventh film, "A Reasonable Man - The Unauthorized Biography of Harv Stevens". It is loosely based on the life of record producer Phil Spector with fictionalized accounts involving characters based on other artists, such as Kim Deal and Patsy Cline.
Nicholas' photography work appears regularly in Winnipeg's downtown alternative weekly, Uptown Magazine. His photos have also appeared in UR Magazine, a national music and consumer mag produced by Rogers.
Weekly, Friesen can be heard Sunday's from 4-6 on the.mix.tape. with local journalist Jen Zoratti. The radio program has run since 2006 in various capacities and spotlights a new theme each week. It can be heard on 92.9 Kick FM.
