Newport ACF is an Army Cadet Force in the market town of Newport, Shropshire
the detachment is affiliated to the Shropshire Army cadet force and the cap badge worn is the one of the Royal Logistic Corps

The detachment is run like a regular military unit and is one of the oldest detachments in the county, as well as one of the most successful.

*In 2006 the detachment represented the town, county and United kingdom at a ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium. this involved doing a parade in front of 300 people.
*In 2005 the detachment represented the county in the light infantry cup, this was despite newport being a Royal Logistic Corps detachment
