378 Mannock Squadron

378 (Mannock) Squadron is an Air Cadet unit located in the Northamptonshire town of Wellingborough just east of Northampton. The Squadron is part of the South and East Midlands Wing which is part of Central and East Region, Air Training Corps.
The Wellingborough unit is the only Air Cadet Squadron named after a person. It is traditional for a squadron to be named after the town, but 378 Squadron is uniquely named after the World War One ace pilot Edward Mick Mannock who lived in the town during his life time.
Parade nights for the squadron are Monday and Wednesday evening between 7:15 and 9:30 at the Joint Cadet Centre in Spring Gardens, Wellingborough. Current parade strength is around 50 Cadets.
