Nerf modding

Nerf modding is the act of modifying Nerf or other branded blasters to shoot harder, look different or function differently.
Modders play at Nerf wars in the superstock class which allows modified blasters.
springer blasters
Springers are blasters that propel a projectile with the stored energy of a compressed spring, improvements on these blasters can be swapping the spring out for a heavier one, adding a spring, modifying the breech and/or barrel and replacing internal parts with metal ones to be able to use stronger springs without breaking the blaster.
flywheel blasters
Flywheel blasters are electronical blasters that use two spinning wheels to propel darts. They can be modified by replacing the batteries with others like LiPo's or IMRs, trust- and ultrafires are also used but this is strongly adviced against because they would be dangerous and a fire hazard.
air powered blasters
Air powered blasters use an airtank or bladder to propel a projectile, these are commonly "rebarreled" to use smaller projectiles than intended. This makes them very powerful because the air volume that normally propels a big foam missile propels a small dart.
