Nelson Skills are a series of English language textbooks for primary schools. There are 8 different levels; each level is complemented by a Nelson Development book. The series also includes spelling books or "Developing Skills".
The Developing Skills textbooks have pictures throughout, puzzles to help with spelling and related information. The Nelson Skills textbook covers basic English language skills such as punctuation. The development skills book takes well known stories and focuses on a certain aspect such as, again, punctuation. It also asks questions about the story and has an occasional crossword puzzle.
