Neil Hurst

Neil Hurst (Born 5 June 1982) is a British singer, actor and writer.

Born in Rochdale in the early 1980s and moved to Halifax in West Yorkshire a few years later.

Neil now lives in Scarborough with his fiancee Emily and his daughter Katie.

Neil became heavily involved with local amateur dramatics and played many of the principal roles in musical theatre.

In 1997 Neil was a finalist in the Tonight: Talent Of Tomorrow Competition on ITV, coming in second place. From there Neil went on to appear on Michael Barrymore's My Kind of Music in 1998.

Neil made his West End debut in 2002.

In 2002 Neil was awarded the NODA award
for best male performer for playing Bill in Me And My Girl

in 2003 Neil was asked to perform in The Songs Of Sir Tim Rice hosted by Sir Tim Rice and was asked to perform the role of 'Joseph' for the man who wrote it.

Neil has worked with many of Britain's biggest stars including: Bob Monkhouse, Bruce Forsyth, Jimmy Tarbuck, Billy Pearce, Barbara Dickson, Michael Barrymore, Johnny Casson and Jimmy Cricket.

Neil has worked in almost every major theatre in the UK on tours of variety shows and pantomimes.

Neil was the resident comic in the Princess Theatre pantomime in Hunstanton, even performing there for members of the Royal Family.

Neil is currently patron for The Rejects Drama Society
