Neha Yadav (activist)

Neha Yadav is a Spokesperson at Samajwadi Party and an Indian political activist. She is a former student leader from Banaras Hindu University and currently, pursuing P.hD at University of Allahabad.
Career
Neha Protested in 2017 with Banaras Hindu University Students over the molestation of a student inside the campus. She came into notice after she showed black flags to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's convoy in Allahabad in 2018. Yadav, along with her friends was taken away and beaten by batons & the police on the occasion. She was arrested for 14 days but was released on bail.
In 2019, a year later, She was rusticated from Allahabad University on the grounds of violating disciplinary rules of the hostel. College asked to vacate the hostel for maintenance to which, Yadav had protested and requested an extended deadline. However, when the hostel was not vacated on the original deadline, she was rusticated. On the contrary, Neha believes that she was being punished for her incident with Amit Shah a year ago. Her suspension was revoked but was still banned from hostel premises and her entry to the campus was restricted. In 2020, Yadav was jailed while fighting for the justice of the victim of Hathras gang rape, Uttar Pradesh, and released after two months. She was also seen in Protest for NRC, CAA in Mansoor Ali Park, Roshan Bagh.
