Nazo unleashed trilogy

The Nazo Unleashed Trilogy created by Chakra X first appeared on Newgrounds in 2006 during 15th anniversary. It was a remastered remake of the original flash "The Power Of Nazo" also created by Chakra X. The flash is notable as one of the finest pieces of Sonic The Hedgehog fan work.
It features an original backstory of Nazo, a mysterious blue-gray glowing hedgehog that appeared in an early trailer for Sonic X. With the exception of Nazo, all character voices are recycled voice clips of Ryan Drummond, David Humphrey, Jason Anthony Griffith, Corey Bringas, Scott Drier, Michael McGaharn, Elara Distler, Jennifer Douillard and Deem Bristow etc. With some voice clips edited together to create new dialogue.
The fight scenes in Nazo Unleashed are heavily inspired by Dragon Ball Z with recycled sound effects from the show being included as well.
Main characters
Sonic The hedgehog (owned by SEGA): One of the main characters featured in the flash trilogy.
Shadow The Hedgehog (owned by SEGA) : Allied up with Sonic to battle Nazo, stating he only came for the emeralds, proved himself otherwise in the end.
Knuckles The Ekidna (owned by SEGA) : The guardian of the master emerald. Also featuring his super form for the final battle.
Miles "Tails" Prower (owned by SEGA) :o featuring his super form. Tails wasn't as strong as the others and was also victim to Nazo's wrath.

Plot
Part 1
The story supposedly takes place 4 months after the events of Sonic the Hedgehog. After an explanation of the positive and negative qualities of the Chaos Emeralds, the film opens up with Knuckles the Echidna relaxing on Angel Island. A mysterious, hedgehog-shaped being known only as Nazo appears out of the Cyan Chaos Emerald and, right before Knuckles' eyes, gathers the Emeralds (plus the Master Emerald) and teleports away with them all. Without the Master Emerald to keep it afloat, Angel Island once again plummets to the ground.
Meanwhile, in Downtown Metropolis, Nazo breaks into a jewelry store and steals the white Chaos Emerald. Having gotten what he came for, Nazo then destroys the city with a single energy blast. A news reporter tells of the robbery and destruction, but confirms that the being in question is not Sonic, "as not to make the same mistake twice" (a reference to Sonic Adventure 2 ), reports that Nazo is currently heading towards South Island. Shadow hears the broadcast over the radio, and ponders over why Sonic's name bothers him so much.
Meanwhile, Tails and Knuckles track down Sonic, once again running through a desert, and Tails informs him (through a series of illustrated speech balloons) about the robbery and destruction caused by Nazo. Glad to have a new challenge, Sonic speeds off with Tails and Knuckles in tow.
Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles arrive at South Island and discover the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald hidden behind a rock, but Knuckles senses something. At that moment, Nazo arrives. Eager for revenge on Nazo, Knuckles attempts to attack Nazo but he is easily overpowered by Nazo. Nazo then turns his attention to Sonic and fires an energy bolts at him, but Sonic simply dodges. After Sonic taunts him, Nazo performs Chaos Control (much to Sonic's surprise), pops up behind him, and smashes him back down to the ground. Nazo prepares to finish Sonic off with an energy bolt, but Shadow arrives just in time and warps Sonic out of the way, though he makes it clear that he came for the Chaos Emeralds and not to save Sonic.
Shadow then engages Nazo himself, and brags about being the ultimate life form. However, when Shadow warps behind him and holds a gun against his head (to Tails' awe and Sonic's irritation), Nazo easily sends him flying. He then turns on Sonic again, but is distracted from attacking him when Tails blasts him in the back with his Sonic battle mega buster. Angered, Nazo warps over to Tails and hits him with a massive energy blast at point-blank range. Enraged and grief-stricken, Sonic collapses to the ground, and the negative side of the Chaos Emeralds reacts to his anger and transforms him into Dark Sonic(originaly seen in Sonic X). Undaunted, Nazo attempts to attack him again, but Sonic effortlessly catches his intended punch and sends him flying with one of his own. Sonic then comes to his senses, and uses the Chaos Emeralds to become the true Super Sonic.
Part 2
Continuing from part 1, Nazo returns once more, but finds Sonic as Super Sonic. Nazo believes that he is superior to Super Sonic and the duo continue to fight. Eventually Nazo sends him back to the ground with a dual-handed smash. An injured Sonic reverts back to normal, and Nazo once again attempts to finish him; however, Shadow attacks him from behind, but is easily knocked back. Shadow then becomes Super Shadow, and, seeing that Sonic is currently incapacitated, fights Nazo himself. Nazo still overpowers Super Shadow until Shadow and unleashes a massive torrent of energy attacks on him, but Nazo still manages to survive.
Meanwhile, a recovered Sonic manages to collect two hundred Rings. Once again becoming Super Sonic, he rushes back to help Shadow and hastily gives him 40 rings, and the two hedgehogs work together to fight Nazo. Meanwhile, Knuckles comes to and finds Tails, covered in blood and unconscious. Knuckles manages to heal Tails and they proceed to watch the battle between Sonic, Shadow and Nazo. Super Sonic's and Super Shadow's combined power allows them to finally beat Nazo.
After Sonic and Shadow celebrate their defeat of Nazo, Tails and Knuckles arrive and Sonic is tearfully relieved to see that they are alive. However during this short time Nazo returns, steals the Chaos and Master Emeralds, and returns to Angel Island, which floats back up into the sky. After a moment's thought, Shadow teleports the group back to Angel Island to end the fight for good.
Part 3
Continuing from Part 2, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow arrive on Angel Island to see Nazo at the shrine of the Master Emerald. Nazo proceeds to explain his origins: every time the Chaos Emeralds were used for evil (i.e. the resurrection of Chaos, the Space Colony ARK incident, Metal Sonic's rebellion, and the Black Arms invasion), the negative energies within began to accumulate. After Black Doom's defeat, the negative energy became too much for the Emeralds to contain, and Nazo was born as the physical embodiment of this negativity.
Nazo reveals that he plans to destroy the Earth, and then absorbs the combined energies of both the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald to achieve his own super form; Perfect Nazo, a being with red fur, red eyes with yellow scleras and four spines on his back fused together to form an "X". Undaunted Sonic goes Super and attacks but it has no effect. Nazo easily catches him and knocks him back with a massive energy bolt, heavily injuring him and returning him to his normal form. Shadow catches Sonic and goes Super himself. Shadow uses Chaos Control but is also no match for Nazo, who uses a more advanced form of the power called Super Chaos Control and then knocks Shadow down.
Enraged, Shadow removes his inhibitor rings and combines Chaos Boost with his Super form, to the worry of his allies who believe he may lose control of himself and turns Dark Shadow. Using Chaos Control he grabs Nazo and unleashes the Chaos Blast, which engulfs the entire island. Unfortunately, Nazo is unharmed and Shadow is drained of all energy and reverting back to his normal form. After proclaiming himself the true ultimate lifeform, Nazo knocks both Sonic and Shadow into the ground, where they are trapped under rubble. Nazo then proceeds to taunt them wondering if they really are the earth's "final defense", while Tails and Knuckles, despite the odds, prepare to make one final stand.
Though semi-conscious, Sonic and Shadow are desperate to save their friends. The spirit of Tikal recites the incantation to activate the Master Emerald. The Chaos Emeralds become the Super Emeralds, and they revitalize Sonic and Shadow as well as turn them into Hyper Sonic and Hyper Shadow, respectively.
Sonic and Shadow return, and then use an advanced version of Chaos Control to fuse into a composite being known as "Shadic". Unconcerned, Nazo informs them that anything that they try will only delay the inevitable, and prepares to fire an energy bolt at the Earth; however, Shadic kicks him in the head, sending him flying. The two engage in combat, and Shadic proves to be a perfectly equal match for Nazo's newfound might. After a brief brawl on both Angel Island and in outer space, Nazo admits that he is impressed with their fusion, and then asks how many Rings that Shadic has left; judging by Shadic's reaction, he does not have many left.
Nazo also states that he himself cannot transform the Chaos Emeralds into Super Emeralds, but he can do something even worse; Shadic inadvertently supercharged the negative aspects of the Emeralds in addition to the positive aspects, and Nazo absorbs the negative energies and becomes more powerful than ever, proceeding to inform Shadic, Knuckles, and Tails that nothing that they do can stop him, and he then proceeds to explain his intentions:
As an accumulation of negative Chaos Energy gave birth to Nazo, he is naturally inclined to obtain power, and he will eventually absorb enough energy to become more powerful than "any star, any universe". However, no matter how much energy he absorbs, he will never be able to surpass the Master Emerald; A source of infinite power. Refusing to be subordinate to a "rock", Nazo plans to destroy the Earth, which will in turn shatter the Master Emerald and scatter its pieces all over the cosmos making it impossible to ever be restored.
Nazo prepares a massive energy ball to destroy the Earth, but Shadic magnetizes several thousand Rings all over the world, along with everyone including Metal Sonic and Dr. Eggman providing one ring to him,and absorbs their power to recharge, and fires an energy beam at Nazo's orb to combat it. However, Nazo begins to overwhelm him. At this moment Tails and Knuckles become Super Tails and Hyper Knuckles, respectively. They then join the fight providing Shadic enough power to destroy Perfect Nazo.
Much to his own superise, Nazo survives once again thanks to the Chaos Emeralds, though shot into a newly opened dimensional rift. Nazo plots to destroy the Earth again. However, Shadic appears before him, absorbs Nazo's extra power to restore the Super Emeralds . Before Nazo can attack him, Shadic drains Nazo from his power, reverting into his original form, and then finaly blasts Nazo, finishing him off for good.
Sonic and Shadow separate and return to Earth, tired out while the people of Station Sqaure celebrate. As Knuckles and Tails rush to Sonic's aid, Sonic gives Shadow thumbs up, who returns one as well, and the entire planet celebrates their victory. Meanwhile after the credits, Dr. Eggman manages to find one of Nazo's arm rings...
Music
Most of the music and sound came from previous Sonic games with various references and cartoons such as Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and Sonic X. All The voices except for Nazo were edited from various sound clips. The voice actor for Nazo was known as Omahdon.
