Nate Howard

Nate Howard (born July 5, 1991) is an American poet, activist, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker who in February 2016 was honored by NBCNews' in the NBCBLK28 talented innovators and game changers 28 years old and younger.
Career
Howard is the founder of Movement BE, a non-profit focused on empowerment through poetry. Howard launched the Movement BE app in May 2016. The app is geolocation based and focused on bringing communities together through stories, poetry, and inspiration.
In 2013, he helped lead a protest fighting against racial profiling at USC that landed him on the front page of the Los Angeles Times. In 2014 he was arrested in a racial profiling case in San Jose to which he was found guilty, but later appealed.
He also has recorded poetic intros for artist Ty Dolla Sign. He most recently wrote the intro for Free TC, featured on the track LA with Kendrick Lamar and Brandy.
Earlier in life, he acted in Mithaq Kazimi's film playing Tony Hicks, the first juvenile that was sentenced as an adult in State of California.
