Narjis Afroz Zaidi

Narjis afroz Zaidi is an Urdu poet, a literary critic and the co-founder of Pakistan Women Writer’s Forum, headquartered in Peshawar, Pakistan. She has received the Aks-e-khushboo award for her works in poetry.
Narjis published her first book, Nazish, while she was preparing for her tenth-grade final exams in the year 1980. The book garnered good acclaim from readers. Only two years later in 1982, her second book, Abresham, hit the market. Unlike her first poetry volume, Abresham earned her attention from a few widely respected poets of that time. However, her third and breakthrough book, Mohabbat Aasmaan Hai, did not come out until 20 years later in 2002.

Personal life
Narjis lives the life of a housewife and has never held a job or worked for money. She is the mother of two sons and a daughter. The eldest son, Sarmad Ali Khan is married and lives in Peshawar with his wife and a son. Her daughter, Kinza Ali Khan, is married to the son of Tabassum Akhlaq who is the granddaughter of the famous poet and intellectual Josh Malihabadi.
