Narcissistic nationalism

Narcissistic nationalism is a recent political phenomenon known from political movements in for example USA, India, and Turkey. Among the characteristics of narcissistic nationalism are an excessive pride for own country, overestimation of the potential of own country, a lack of empathy for other countries (in line with jingoism), and a disregard for other opinions.

Narcissistic nationalism is illustrated in numerous examples:
* Donald Trump’s slogan, Make America Great again.
* The proposed Mexican border wall to be paid by Mexico for the benefit of USA.
* Turkish sanctions against EU countries for harboring Turkish dissidents.
