Haruna Mohammed Buhari, popularly known by the stage name Nanky, is a Ghanaian singer from Tema. Early life and career Nanky was born into a family of 6 to his late mother who was a seamstress and dad a Mullah. He schooled at Padmore Primary School and Akodzo JHS in Tema. He later attended in Chemu Senior High School but dropped out in his second year. Career Nanky began his music journey as the lead singer of the music group called UG360 known for their song ‘Denkin’ but left to go solo. He began his solo career with Meld Entertainment headed by one Louis Hammond and dropped singles like 'I Do Yawa' and others. the song won Video of the Year at the 2021 Global Music Awards Africa. In 2020, Nanky dropped his debut Extended Play titled Remedy which had 6 songs with production credits to Mix Master Garzy, Kaywa, Meth Mix and Killbeatz. All the videos on the EP was shoot by Yaw Skyface. In 2021, Nanky dropped another song titled Confusion with AFRIMMA winner Medikal produced by Streetbeatz to address fake friends.
