Nandini Sharma

Dr Nandini Sharma ( born on 29 May, 1969) is a social worker, politician and homoeopathy practitioner in South Delhi, India. She is Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate from Malviya Nagar constituency for the Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections 2015.
Early life
Sharma was born in Delhi to astrologer father Madan Mohan Sharma. She grew up in Geetanjali Enclave in Malviya Nagar with her five siblings and did her schooling from New Green Field Public School, Saket.
Education
Sharma studied medicine at Jodhpur University, specializing in homeopathy and receiving her MD degree in 2007. , she was pursuing PhD studies at the Homoeopathy University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She did her Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) from Dr Madan Pratap Khuteta Homeopathic College, Jaipur, in 1991.
Career
Medicine
Besides treating patients at her own clinic, Sharma has been associated with the Shri Ram Homoeopathic Dispensary, Tirupati Nursing Home, Shivalik Road New Delhi and Aashlok Hospital, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi.
She has also been the honorary visiting physician at the President Estate Dispensary, Rashtrapati Bhawan.
She is an Executive Member of the Standing Finance Committee of Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH). She is also the Honorary Secretary of South Delhi Homeopathic Association and Executive Member of Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis (LMHI) Indian Chapter.
She actively participates in the medical conferences and is also instrumental in organising the seminars.
Social work
Sharma has been treating patients free of cost for more than two decades. She also organizes health camps for the underprivileged people on regular intervals and guides them on nutrition, obesity, cancer and the relevance of yoga.
Her trust “Dr Nandini Charitable Trust” works to provide education and improve the health of underprivileged children; empowerment of women; organises health awareness camps, including breast cancer awareness programmes on regular intervals in Malviya Nagar, Khirki village and Hauz Rani, and a nutrition camp every month in the premises of Laxmi Narayan Temple, Malviya Nagar. Patients from all walks of life and status visit her at the Temple.
Her trust provides free medical aid and medicines to the underprivileged children.
Politics
Sharma is an executive member of the BJP state unit and is the party’s candidate from Malviya Nagar for the Delhi Assembly Elections, 2015. Before joining the BJP, she was associated with Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation, a non-profit organisation associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), working for the education of children and development of villages.
Since her association with BJP she has been an active worker connecting with the people and devising strategies to resolve the problems related to civic issues, sanitation, roads, parks, parking; women safety, health, senior citizens safety, old age pensions and welfare of minority communities.

Sharma has received many awards including:
* Appreciation award from Asian Homeopathy Medical League in January 2014
* Lifetime achievement award from Delhi Homoeopathic Board in April 2013
* Unnat Bharat Sewashri Award in January 2013
* Dr Youdhvir Singh Award in 1998
Personal life
Nandini Sharma married Vishnu Sharma, an entrepreneur, in 1999. They have one daughter.
