Nakatomi Towers are an Irish electro-pop duo from Belfast. Formed in 2009 when Julianne Shawe and Dave Frecknall bonded over a shared love of glitchy house and electroclash. The DJ, production & live duo have had previous indie rock success with The_Jane_Bradfords and CODA. Nakatomi Towers gained immediate press support from the Irish Times., BBC ATL. & The Irish Independent whos Day & Night magazine. tagged the duo as "ones to watch". Online the duo quickly featured in many internationally respected blogs such as Nialler9. & Panic Dots. along with various magazines both online (such as State.) and traditional music magazines (Hot Press.). Releases "cut me out" "what you see" "magnetic" Notable Gigs As a new unsigned band Nakatomi Towers have several important gigs behind them including support slots for Little Boots (Belfast & Dublin), Jack Peñate, Micachu and the Shapes, The_xx along with BBC hosted events and Belfast Pride open-air gig at Custom House Square with thousands. in attendance.
