NAF S 227

NAF S 227 is identified as HFC 227ea in the international standards. It is a gaseous extinguishing media with a low environmental impact.
Due to a low level of acute toxicity, NAF S 227 can be used to protect normally occupied areas. Its physical characteristics allow its use in enclosures with temperatures ranging from 0°C to 50°C. At these temperatures NAF S 227 is quickly distributed in the protected environment, forming a homogeneous air/agent mixture and also intervening on the more hidden ”hotbeds“.
NAF S 227 maximum exposure times at stated concentrations have been determined with the PBPK model, approved by the US EPA and already included in the NFPA 2001 Standard (Edition 2000), allowing a maximum time of 5 minutes at 10.5%.
