Myriam Chalek is a French born serial entrepreneur currently living in New York City. Career Chalek was born and raised in Paris, France. After receiving her Bachelor's degree from the University of Laval, Canada and her Master's degree in international business law in Paris, Chalek worked at the World Trade Organization as a business law consultant before moving to NYC to pursue a PhD degree. Interrupting her studies, Chalek founded, at the age of 27, Creative Business House, a fashion business incubator offering to designers the opportunity to start and establish their fashion line for less than $10,000. With $1 million in sales the first year, Chalek launched a series of interviews and seminars in fashion schools in Dubai, Qatar, Korea and Japan. Chalek's work has been published in numerous magazines in Europe, Asia and the Middle East including High Cut, Emirates Woman, Vogue Paris, Numero, and Bon. She has also been featured as one of the youngest successful French serial entrepreneur on Arte. In 2011, Chalek expanded her business by founding a Franco-US event company organizing events for the jet-setters. In 2012, she used the cash flow made from her two previous companies to establish numerous ventures: luggage storage, model management, photography and a travel agency. Chalek mentions in a 2013 press conference in London, UK: "Being an entrepreneur is like gambling. Once you start and you win, you can't stop. Sky is the limit." Philanthropy Chalek is also a philanthropist. Every year, she donates hundred thousands of dollars to charity. She is also vice president of a Paris Based non-profit organisation Donnons Leur Une Chance, whose mission has been featured in a plethora of media channels. She is also an active member of Don't Be Cheap, a charity located in NYC. In June 2013, Chalek collaborated with a Parisian Institute, Le Corbusier, to organize the first fundraising prom party ever given in France. The event raised money the charity used to buy school supplies and clothing benefiting children from low families income. During her speech, Chalek affirmed: "Giving back to the community is a must if we want the world to be a better place for tomorrow's kids."
