MYNA

MYNA (born, Rashmi Pandian in 1999) is a hip hop recording and performing artist from South East, Michigan.
Her 2018 release "Roy G Biv" marked the culmination of four years of writing, recording, and producing. Single “Lemon Tree” is a high point of the album with 17k+ plays on Soundcloud.
MYNA creates relatable music that challenges audiences to question their identities and roles in modern society. Inspired by her personal relationships, Indian heritage, and experiences of synesthesia, MYNA’s artistic efforts have found grounding in the Southeast Michigan music scene. Influences of Jhené Aiko, Sade and SZA; through her lens create relatable confessional lyrics responding to modern hip-hop, neo soul, and RnB.
She grew up in Washtenaw County, and immersed herself in the music scene from age 13. She was a program participant at The Neutral Zone, Ann Arbor's Teen Center and first released music featured on Youth Owned Records' release "The Problem Child" in 2016. She recorded and mixed in The Orpheum Recording Studio. She was a member of the Music and Youth Development Alliance from 2016-2019.
