Muziboo

Muziboo is a an online music community which enables users to upload mp3 files of their work and discuss it with other community members. What differentiates Muziboo from other music related websites is the community interaction. Users actively participate in discussions online and give very detailed feedback on the music uploaded. This also gives the members a chance to get to know each other better and collaborate on several projects.

Muziboo was founded in 2007 by Prateek Dayal and Nithya Dayal, the husband and wife team. The site recently celebrated its first anniversary and launched a new user interface and pro accounts.

Features

User Profiles
Muziboo allows users to create a profile and enter their details like location, musical gear. Members can contact each other using scribbles without exposing their email addresses.

Music Upload and Streaming
Users can upload upto 20 mp3 files for free. Listening to music is free and listeners can also subscribe to music using RSS, iTunes or Email. All uploaded music can be embedded on blogs or social networks. Every upload gets its own page and other members can comment on it, rate it and favorite it.

Groups and Discussions
Muziboo allows users to create groups and invite other members to it. Every group has a music pool and discussion board that all members of the group can use.

Band Pages
Members can create a page for their band and post band's music to it. They can invite their fans and other band members to be a part of the band page.

Pro Accounts
Pro account enables members to upload more than 20 files, upload at a higher bitrate and reupload music without losing comments or ratings. The pro account is priced at $25.95 per year.
