Launched in June 2008, Music Channel boasted a wide range of successes in a very competitive market. Starting January 1, 2010, Romanian music TV station, Music Channel, has opened two new branches in Hungary: Music Channel and H!T Music Channel. In less than two years since the launch in Romania, Music Channel has achieved the performance to be broadcasted across borders, to organize the biggest event in local music, Romanian Music Awards, and to run a record number of videos. The newest music television station noted a record number of videos runs: over 900 videos every month, while the market average is 200 videos on the same period. Another performance achieved is organizing the most important event in the local music industry, Romanian Music Awards, for the first time under the aegis of Music Channel in 2008. In time, the most important Romanian artists have preferred to launch their exclusive videos on Music Channel.
