Music Aid is a worldwide series of benefit concerts and events, set to take place in five continents on June 25, 2011. The lineup of the concerts will feature some of the biggest names in music, and also unsigned acts. Causes The concerts will support many important global causes, such as children in need. Each event will have a local cause to benefit and the artists taking part in the event will be promoting their own favorite causes. Host cities and countries Currently, the following countries and cities have been confirmed to host a concert (more venues to come later) : *Auckland, New Zealand *Shanghai, China *Manila, Philippines *Mumbai, India *Nigeria (host city to be confirmed) *Rio de Janeiro, Brazil *Montevideo, Uruguay *Riverfront Park, Nashville, USA *Vancouver, Canada Confirmed acts The concerts will feature some of the biggest names in music along with unsigned acts. Currently one act has been announced and more is set to come in the coming months. * African Children's Choir
