Murray Newlands

Murray Newlands (born 1974) is a marketing executive, author and frequent speaker on blogging and social media influence. A former lawyer, Murray is the co-founder of the London Blog Club, founder of the San Francisco Blog Club and founder of advertising network Affiliate Heat. Murray was previously a Non Executive Director Cambridgeshire and Peterborough business link. Murray Newlands runs an events company Influence People. He's also on the advisory board for social media strategist MarketMeSuite.
Murray’s book, published by John Wiley & Sons Online Marketing: A Users Manual is to be released in April 2011 in the UK and June 2011 in the US. He has also written a number of eBooks.
Murray was a contributor to the award winning book edited by Shawn Collins and Missy Ward and “Go Global: How to take your business to the world” edited by Emma Jones.
Murray writes for Adotas as well as other major publications.
Murray is a regular speaker at Affiliate Summit. In 2010 he was shortlisted for the Affiliate Summit Blogging Award. In 2010, Murray was a judge and presenter at the Bees Awards, presenting an award to Saatchi and Saatchi. In 2010 he was listed by The Wall in Social media movers and shakers:The ones to watch in 2011" along with Rachel Sklar , Francesco D’Orazio, Ben Parr and Krystyl Baldwin.
