Muhammad Aziz Arfaj

Muhammad Aziz Arfaj was born in the 15th of October 1980. He is a Saudi poet, writer and journalist.
Life
He was born and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His father moved from Khib Al Maryadsya which is a village that is close to Al Barida in Al Kasim, south of Najd. Where his father married his mother who is originally from "Bano Al Asmar" in , north of Saudi Arabia.
About
His father descended from a family of farmers, as well did his mother. His father was an investigator and counselor in the Saudi ministry of internal affairs, after he finished his high education degree in the Sharia college in Riyadh. He was also a folklore and cultural poet, storyteller and a history and culture enthusiast. His mother was a collector of insubstantial culture and folklore poetry.
Muhammad Arfaj is a researcher in Nabti, Hawrani, Hamini. folklore and cultural poetry. He is also a novelist and a short-story writer as well. He also writes in multiple local, Arabic and international newspapers. Especially, in Riyadh Newspaper.
He has published many works of different forms and genres like novels and books. His most notable work is "Al Dawr Al A'la" novel. As well as the book of "Cultural inherited Arabic Narration".
In 2003 he moved from Riyadh to Aden in Yemen to work in the Saudi Diplomatic Sector. His name was well connected to the Yemeni cultural scene. As he worked for several years there which allowed him to make connections with the Yemeni culture and literature. This connection was quite obvious as he shaped it into the tens of studies and articles of which he wrote about Yemeni culture and poetry, especially Hamini poetry. He published a novel titled "Al Dawr al A'la" which was printed in Beirut, and it revolves around the Yemeni society. He has many contributions in relating Hamini and Nabti poetry. As he is also considered one of the first to discover the origin of Banu-Hilal.
He quit his job with the Saudi Diplomatic Sector and went back to Riyadh to join the Riyadh Literary Society. He lived in Chicago, USA and started "Al Rawh Literary Society", then went back to Riyadh and settled there.
