Mugdha Hasabnis

Mugdha Hasabnis is a musician and educator in India. She is on the music faculty at the Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
Early life
Hasabnis started learning Hindustani Classical music while she was in her 1st grade under the guidance of Aparna Kavi. She completed the level of Upatnya Visharad through the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharv Mahavidyalay in her mid teens. She then started to explore other forms of music such as Light Classical Music under the guidance of Mrudula Dadhe-Joshi. She ventured into writing and composing her own songs and participating in various performances and won many inter-collegiate competitions.
Career
Hasabnis was introduced to the Western style of singing and she added the same to her repertoire. She spent more than two years learning Western Music as a whole and specifically singing under the guidance of Kavita Baliga. She spends her time in various recordings, performances and teaching at the Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
Achievements
* 'Youth' - The art related competitions conducted by Universities in India - Mugdha’s team representing the University of Mumbai won the Overall National trophy.
* Best singer award by Kannada International Music Awards.
* Collaboration with Shankar Tucker
* Part of a 80+ piece Orchestra - 'Classical Incantation - Babelsberg Film Orchestra Plays by A R Rahman' with a unique vocal solo - multiple shows across India and the World.
* Recordings for Bandish Projekt, Fretboard Music and Shankar Tucker.
* Started teaching at the Shankar Mahadevan Academy
