Movement for the abolition of meat

The movement for the abolition of the meat includes all the persons in the world who support the political demand of abolition of the practice to raise and to bring down animals or to fish for them or to hunt them to consume their flesh. The term meat is taken as meaning all the types of animal flesh, including fishes.
If numerous persons during the history expressed doubts on the legitimacy to kill animals for their flesh, and if the vegetarian militant movements, the antispecists or of rights of animals developed in a increasing way since the end of the XXth century, it is only in 2005 when Antoine Comiti give the idea of the necessity of transforming a principal opposition into political demand. A group of activists, mainly French and Swiss but also Indian, formed to promote the explicit expression of this demand, and succeeded, in the term of some years, in looking to it an increasing common knowledge .
