Mordechai C. Albrecht

Prof. Mordechai Albrecht is a near eastern archaeologist and cosmologist born in Boston MA, in 1942. His research focuses on the religions of ancient Israel and Syria. Albrecht concentrates his work on two core issues: understanding the Book of Enoch (Enoch I or the Ethiopic Enoch) as an ancient Near Eastern text, and studying its prophecies through both text and material culture. His current field project, in the Mount Hermon area, concentrates on the lineage of the lost tribe of Dan.
Some aspects of Albrecht's work raised harsh criticism from his peers in the past.
Prof. Albrecht is now a fellow member of the Ezida Foundation. According to him, his task is to "stand up stones that had fallen down."
