Morakinyo Michael Williams

Morakinyo "Big Mike" Williams is a 7'0" collegiate basketball player from Solihull, England who attended the University of Kentucky and then transferred to Duquesne following his freshman year. In high school, he was named to the All-Tournament team at the 2006 Mid-Atlantic Invitational Tournament. He averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA.
Debut
Morakinyo played 19 minutes in Kentucky's 2007 season opener win over University of Central Arkansas. He made 2 of 3 shots for 4 points, had 2 offensive rebounds, 3 defensive rebounds, and 1 assist.
Freshman Season
Morakinyo ended his freshman season having played 5 games in a total of 30 minutes. He made 2 of 6 two-point field goals, had 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 turnovers. All 5 games he played in were wins against low-caliber teams.
After his freshman season Williams obtained a release from his scholarship at Kentucky and transferred to Duquesne.
Sophomore Season
Morakinyo will spend his sophomore season redshirting at Duquesne.
