Montgomery 'Monty' Gimpel is a German who plays for Leeds United after signing from Tooting & Mitcham F.C.. He was previously at German club Hannover 96 academy. Career After spending 10 years at German club Hannover 96 academy, Gimpel moved to England in 2010 to pursue his education. He joined Tooting & Mitcham F.C. and after impressing for Tooting and also in International Schoolboy level he attracted the interest of some of the top clubs in England such as havant and waterloovill . He turned down Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool to join Leeds on a 1 year permanent deal in May 2011. Before signing a professional contract he had trained at Leeds and played for the reserves and youth team, whilst playing semi-proffesionally for Isthmian Premier League Club Tooting & Mitcham F.C. It is thought that Monty will be part of the first team on a regular basis within 6 months of the 2011/2012 season Awards Individual * Independant Schools Under 16 Player Of The Year
