Mohd Afzal Parray

Mohd Afzal Parray or Mohammad Afzal Parray is an Indian politician from Jammu and Kashmir. He is District Secretary & State Committee member of , and currently the Chairperson of District Development Council of District Kulgam & a member of District Development Council from pombay kulgam He was elected as Chaiperson on 06 February 2021 with a unanimously decision of all 14 DDC Members of the council.
Life
Mohd Afzal Parray was born in Sonigam Kulgam. Mohd Afzal studied at the Kulgam district. He migrated during the early years of militancy due to political threats and was kidnapped in 1991 by Militants. later on he has to migarate from his native village along with his family and was attacked there too in 1996 after Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami won 1996 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election after which he migrated to Jammu along with his wife and son Shabir Ahmad Parry and a daughter.
Political Career
Mohd Afzal joined earlier during his teenage days as party worker in around 1980 and served as the district Secretary for the party. He was elected as the District Development Council member on 22 December 2020 with 1410 votes from Pombay Constituency, beating his closest rival of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party with 461 votes.
