Mohanmala Gohain

Mohanmala Gohain or Barjana Gohain, was from Tungkhungia clan and Raja of Namrup. He was the third son Rudra Singha. He was third in succession and held the rank of Namrup Raja.
Kingship
Mohanmala Gohain could not succeed the throne as his face was pitted with smallpox. Because of the standard established after Sulikphaa Lora Roja, that an Ahom prince had to be free from any physical disability, defects or deformities to become a king, his crown was passed to his brother Rajeswar Singha. His brother first act after becoming the king was to exile him to be the Raja of Namrup.
Death
He was secretly poisoned by the Morans later.
Family
Mohanmala Gohain had a son of whom there are still descendants.
