Muhammad Jibrin (Dan Barde), a son of Gombe State, is a well-known businessman who rose through the ranks of Nigeria's complex banking sector to become the Managing Director of SunTrust Bank. He had no desire to get involved in politics. Education Muhammad Jibrin graduated from the University of Abuja with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Career Jibrin Dan Barde was a former GMD of Sun Trust Bank and currently the PDP governorship candidate of Gombe State. Politics The current Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya defeated Barde, the first runner-up in the 2018 All Progressives Congress primary, and Barde afterwards switched parties to join the PDP. |
