Ibrahim Adejuwon Odumboni (born 16 December 1980) is a Nigerian business executive, banker, public administrator, and the current Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Waste Management Authority, a parastatal of the Lagos State Government responsible for managing waste generated in Lagos state through a waste collection, transportation, and disposal structure. Prior to joining LAWMA, he worked in the banking sector and as a finance and business consultant. Education Odumboni has a BSc from the University of Ibadan, BSc in Banking Practice & Management from The London Institute of Banking & Finance, MA degree in International Business Economics from University of the West of England and a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Bristol He holds a Fellowship with the Institute of Information Management of Africa (IIM-Africa) Career Banking Odumboni started his career in banking. He worked as a relationship director with Lloyds Private Banking Limited a subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group Plc and as a Senior Manager with Halifax Bank of Scotland and HSBC Bank Plc in the United Kingdom covering various roles in the banking sector. He has also worked in various areas of the banking sector gaining experience in Technology & Telecommunication Infrastructure Management, Security & Artificial Intelligence, Mergers & Acquisitions, Debt Management, Financial Services Business Consulting and Real Estate Management. Public service Ibrahim Odumboni began his public service career in 2019, as Executive Director (Business Development) in the Lagos State Waste Management Authority. As the Executive Director of LAWMA, he was involved in developing a 10-year blueprint for the sustainability of LAWMA operations. He also pioneered and launched the Blue box scheme to promote separation of waste from source in Lagos State and capacity building for SMEs and other stakeholders in the solid waste management sector. On the 19th of August, 2020, Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu approved the appointment of Ibrahim Adejuwon Odumboni as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) taking over from Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin. Some of his public sector achievements include the setting up of the LAWMA Academy - a solid waste management knowledge hub, the Lagos Recycle Program for promotion of waste sorting from source & introduction of PAKAM application for waste intelligence), the inclusion of waste management in the primary school curriculum in collaboration with the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), the provision of health insurance and performance-based incentive scheme for street sweepers.
