Chukwuka Chukwunedum Paul Monye is a Nigerian-born management consultant, innovation strategist, corporate development and consumer intelligence specialist. Monye is the founder and currently the Managing Partner at Ciuci Consulting, an African multinational operations management consulting firm with a focus on ICT, Media, Entertainment and Financial Services Industries working across private and public institutions. He also served as the inaugural Director General at the Delta Economic Summit Group (DESG) a non-partisan, not for profit, private sector-led thinktank organization of professionals of Delta State, Nigeria origin established in 2015 to promote socio-economic development in Delta State. Monye is a member of Monye is a member of the Oxford Union, the co-founder and Director of the Oxford Family Business Network and an advisory board member of the Africa Franchise Institute. Early life and education Born in 1979, Monye spent his early childhood in Lagos where he attended the Maryland Convent Private School, and Federal Government College, Ijanikin, Lagos. He had a short stint at the Ogun State University before heading to the United States on a scholarship to study Business Administration from Warner University, Florida where he graduated with Honors and was also the university’s first black student union president. He also attended the University of Oxford for postgraduate studies obtaining a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a PGD in Strategy and Innovation. Monye is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at University of Warwick, researching the factors that affect the commercialisation of ideas in Africa. He also received advanced executive education in business management at the Harvard Business School, USA and INSEAD, France. Career After graduating from Warner University, Monye worked at Citigroup, USA and served as an Associate Branch Manager of a Financial Institution in Florida, USA. He has served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Suburban Telecom and prior to this role he worked as an independent consultant, providing business development support to a variety of companies in Nigeria including ICT firms such as SocketWorks and Etisalat. In 2007, Monye established Ciuci (pronounced see-you-see) Consulting firm focused on strategy, consumer Intelligence and business advisory. Ciuci has over the years executed over 350 projects in several industries including health care, agriculture, financial services, telecoms, media, entertainment, FMCG, retail and the public sector. As a consultant to the Nigerian private and public sector, Monye has led teams to develop Public Private Partnership framework; serving as the administrator of the Edo Specialist Hospital (ESH), the Stella Obasanjo Hospital Treatment Centre and interim Chief Executive Officer of the EkoCorp Plc owners of the Eko Hospital. In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Ciuci Consulting, Chukwuka was the inaugural Director General of Delta Economic Summit Group (DESG). The group is a private sector-led think tank focused on delivering positive and strategic change most especially economic development in Delta State. As Director-General, the Delta Economic Summit Group (DESG) organized the Delta @ 25 Economic Summit and hosted the pioneer edition of the Unsung Heroes Award - an initiative set up to reward members of the Delta community who have shown exemplary moral fortitude and commitment to the development of their community.
