Works Canova started working as a freelance designer, but now his oeuvre involves only artworks for galleries and bienale spaces. He tries not to participate in group exhibitions, because he believes, that group exhibitions destroys harmony that is carried by the artwork. M. Canova oeuvre is manifold and ambiguous. Canova employs nontraditional materials to create active and dynamic exhibits, most commonly as installations. His creative practices include deprivation of sleep, deep analysis of human perception and impact that media has on it. Artist intension is to create works that would erase the boundaries between viewer and the artwork itself: „Viewer has to come near my work, to enter it“. Conception of the artwork is not important for artist. According to Canova, conception is nothing if one does not have goods skills: „Art is a skill and act of choosing is a creation“.
