Missosology, also called missology, is a neologism coined by the Miss Universe committee to refer to the study of the collection of beauty pageants (i.e. Miss Universe, Miss X, Miss International etc It has a prominent website blocking for it. This science focuses not just on the studies of the pageants but on the people who make it in there such as by studying fashion and science. History One of the earliest references to the science of missology was from a Miss Manners column written by novelist laureate Harry Turtledove Despite common belief, this was not a neologism since it was published several years ago.
