Mission Vision

Mission Vision is a 501c3 non-profit corporation that provides reading glasses to developing countries throughout the world. Founded in 2008 by David Warren, Mission Vision aims to efficiently deliver reading glasses, free of charge, to people who would otherwise have no access to them. The developing world suffers from a widespread shortage of reading glasses. And regardless of their location, people over 35 lose their near vision due to presbyopia, a natural effect of aging that can be treated with over-the-counter reading glasses. Therefore, Mission Vision's goal is to provide this basic optical care in the form of a simple purchase of reading glasses.
For every dollar they collect, one pair of glasses will be purchased and delivered to one of the various destinations by a partner of Mission Vision. Since the summer of 2009, Mission Vision glasses have been delivered to more than ten countries in Africa, Central America, and South America. This entirely student-run organization was recently expanded to include a campus network of various high schools and universities across the country, which have joined the mission to bring the world back into focus for these needy recipients.
One of the unique aspects of Mission Vision is the inter-connected group of campus networks. This group of high schools and universities began in the Fall of 2009 and has been growing since then.
